If you’ve splashed out on a fancy candle, wouldn’t it be a shame to throw away the equally fancy looking glass jar? Once you’ve reached the end of your candle, pop the jar into the freezer for a couple of hours and then use a blunt knife to pop out the leftover wax. Recycling just got seriously stylish.

5. Store your skincare stuff separately

 

Meet your dressing table’s new best friend – a cake stand. It sounds insane, we know, but if you invest in a cake stand to house cotton buds, makeup wipes, micellar water and all that other good stuff that doesn’t quite fit the ‘makeup’ category, you’ll find your morning routine gets one hell of a lot faster cause you won’t be searching for your moisturiser for 10 minutes. 6. Don’t underestimate the power of sand/pebbles/other stone-y stuff

 

A unique way of storing lipsticks or makeup brushes is to buy a bag of pebbles or sand (we don’t particularly recommend stealing some from the beach), pour it into a clear container, and then stuff your makeup brushes/lipsticks right into the stuff. Not only does this look cool and unusual, you can have some fun with it too! Layering different colours of sand or different types of pebbles would also look really effective.

Because obviously, the more storage you have, the more makeup you need – right? Instead of cramming your entire collection into one small drawer, or even worse, a makeup bag that is so stuffed it refuses to zip, invest in some separate storage to house the bits that you don’t quite need every single day. Let’s face it, you probably don’t reach for that glitter pigment on the daily, it will happily house itself in a set of drawers until a special, sparklier occasion arises.
