Budget beauty brand NYX Cosmetics are certified as cruelty free by Peta. Our favourite products from the brand include their incredible Soft Matte Lip Cream (£5.50) for a comfortable, shine-free statement lip, and their High Definition Blush (£5.50) in Taupe is a pale girl’s contour dream.

2. Tarte

Tarte have recently made the jump across the pond and are now available on QVC. Their cosmetics are vegan friendly, and have active ingredients designed to improve the skin. If you’re after a kick ass, natural looking base, the Amazonian Clay Foundation (£28) is the bomb.

3. Korres

 

After ending their contract with Johnson & Johnson, Korres were added to our list of awesome cruelty free beauty brands. Their tinted Lip Butter (£8) is our winter lip saviour.

4. Urban Decay

 

Urban Decay are famous for their colour cosmetics; it’s arguable that their original Naked Palette (£38.50) is the most iconic eyeshadow palette in the world. UD have been a cruelty free front runner from the beginning, and claim to be ‘committed to ending animal testing’. YAAAAS.

5. TheBalm

 

Crazy pug lady Marissa Shipman started TheBalm in her kitchen, and ensures all of the brand’s products are cruelty and paraben free. Their highlighter range is exquisite, with Cindy Lou Manizer (£17.50) being the most gorgeous rose gold tone.

6. NARS

 

NARS have the most stunning packaging around (although it is a magnet for dirt), and their cruelty free product line up is extensive. The Velvet Matte Lip Pencil in Red Square (£20) packs an orange punch for your pout, and the formula could last through even the messiest of cheeseburgers.

7. Anastasia Beverley Hills

ABH have become massively popular over the past year due to a little help from the Kardashian clan, but their cruelty free policy means you can get your eyebrows on fleek and your contour looking like Kim’s without feeling guilty. Dip Brow (£15) is an awesome all-in-one product which can be a little tricky to get the hang of, but once you’ve cracked it your brows will look amazing in no time.

8. Too Faced

 

Too Faced are another vegan friendly brand, their makeup brushes are even made from teddy bear hair! The brand has recently launched a new foundation named Born This Way (£29), which has been hailed as the ultimate base in the skin perfecting game.
